As soon as the sun set on Labor Day, Autumn descended on the Chicago area before we could wash our white pants for next year.
Me, I'm ready. After a Summer of staying out late drinking champagne, it's a welcome change to have a reason to stay home (too cold), wear t-shirts (tailgating), and drink pumpkin lattes on weekends (ugh, there's no excuse for this pure sin).
This weekend, in preparation for the pale months, I changed out my red paisley tablecloth for a new Ralph Lauren table runner that I picked up at Marshall's, swapped gerber daisies for cattails, and brought the scary, wrought iron candle holders out of hiding for Halloween.
I can't wait to gather friends around this table for heavy beers and macaroni and cheese. What are you doing to prepare for Fall?
