In contrast to the street festivals, rooftop bars and drunk, sun-burned brethren that surround us in the city, there's something about an afternoon at the beach that makes everything seem timeless, like a sepia-toned photo.
Since I'm stuck in the city this weekend, I've split my time between vertical spooning my window unit air conditioners and daydreaming about houses on water with fridges full of Heineken.
