Bonfire Bliss

August is, I think, my favorite time of year.

As a lifelong procrastinator, I love the combination of pressure to achieve all those Summer goals (eat a perfect peach, fall in love, end up looking like tan mom without getting melanoma) and the early autumn nostalgia of another year starting to wind it's way into old age.

But beyond all those - ew - "feelings," the weather in August is truly the best you can hope for in Chicago. With days hot enough to swing by the beach and nights cool enough to test drive that back-to-school sweater, it's the calm before the cold that makes you think "what a night, what a city."

And what better way to spend a Summer night than around a bonfire?

Though all you truly need is a beach and some driftwood, these tools will perfect your dog days shin-dig.
